The F in FPG Stands For Freedom

Good post here from Alan Wolk about how FPGs (Familar Packaged Goods) brands have a bit more freedom than information-driven brands to build emotional connections through social media.

Two good rules for social media:

  1. Know who you are
  2. Know what you can bring to the conversation

This also speaks to the idea of TV as a “Socialization Medium“.  It’s far easier to leverage ideas when they’re already shared in the public space.
